This is a classic replica of the stick created by Henry David Thoreau and used on his "saunters" through the woods of Walden Pond in Concord Massachusetts.

36--inches in total, each 1-inch notch was cut by Thoreau to measure snow and water depths and the height of flora.

The wood used here is silver maple.

the tip is rubber.
